The Collateral Benefits of T1 Mapping
The additional uses of T1 mapping
T1 mapping is used routinely in patients with cardiomyopathies to diagnose diffuse interstitial fibrosis, edema (along with T2 mapping), iron deposition and infiltration (amyloidosis). Native T1 mapping also has prognostic value in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
As I had shown in the last case of calcified amorphous tumor, T1 maps and images can help in other situations as well.
The video explains two of these. Viewing is free, but needs an email subscription.
